A wife, mother, proud “MiMi,” educator, and lifelong Delawarean, Gemma has dedicated her life to uplifting others through service, leadership, and action. She is a graduate of St. Mark’s High School, the University of Delaware, and Wilmington University, where she earned her MBA in Health Care Administration.

With more than two decades of experience in healthcare, Gemma has built a results-driven career focused on access, equity, and innovation. As Telehealth Program Manager at ChristianaCare, she has led transformative initiatives such as:

• eICU

• Virtual nursing

• Hospital care-at-home programs

These programs have improved outcomes and expanded access—especially for rural and underserved communities across the state.

A Lifelong Commitment to Community

Gemma’s impact extends well beyond the healthcare system. For years, she has worked directly with at-risk, underserved, and in-need communities across Delaware.

She is a:

• Two-time delegate to the Democratic National Convention

• Member of the Delaware Democratic Party’s State Executive Committee

• Active voice in the Black Caucus and the MOT NAACP

• Vice President of her sorority

• Contributor to several business and community boards statewide
